Comprehensive Health Benefits

Upon completion of 66 actual days worked with UBC Hiring Solutions, you may be eligible for basic benefits. They would be effective on the first of the month following your eligibility, and include:

• Dental
• Extended Health
• Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)

Vacation and Sick Time

• If you are full-time staff in a CUPE 2950, CUPE 116 or Executive Administrative positions, your vacation entitlement is 6% of your earnings, the equivalent of 3 weeks per calendar year. For M&P (Management and Professional) positions, it is 8% of your earnings, the equivalent of 4 weeks per calendar year.
• After 66 worked days, you become eligible for sick leave entitlement of 8.75 hours per month.

Professional Development Funds

• LinkedIn Learning online learning resources are available for all UBC staff free of charge.
• As a UBC Hiring Solutions employee, you are eligible to apply for professional development funding from Job Skills Training Program (JSTP) after you have completed your probation.
